ICC: Identity of two continental Development Officers about to be revealed

The International Cricket Council is expected to reveal the identity of its
new East Asia-Pacific Development Officer tomorrow (September 22).
Known to be an Antipodean, the appointee will fill the void created by
Andrew Eade's accession to the ICC's Global Development Officer's role.
One of the challenges for the new Development Officers will be pacify
Associate members eyeing the benefits being extended to its counterparts in
the neighbouring Asian development zone.
That announcement is likely to be followed sometime in the next week by the
disclosure of the identity of the new ICC Americas Development Officer.
The position has effectively been vacant since about March of this year,
when the incumbent, John Shepherd, submitted his resignation.
It will be based in Toronto, with one of the main tasks the overseeing of
preparations for next year's ICC Trophy.
These follow the appointment last week of Tom Tikolo as the ICC's East
African Development Officer.
Based in Nairobi, Kenya, Mr. Tikolo will devote approximately 70% of his
time to development work in Kenya, while also covering Uganda (20%) and
Tanzania (10%).
Mr. Tikolo comes from a well known Kenyan cricketing family, with brothers
Steve and David having also represented Kenya.
