The umpires and referees have been chosen for the Sri Lanka v Pakistan Test Series starting in August, the Pakistan v Australia series starting September, and the Quadrangular World Series in September.
The ICC announced yesterday (Thursday) that former West Indies Test cricketer Cameron "Cammie" Smith will referee the Sri Lanka v Pakistan three-Test series and three one-day internationals (ODIs). He will also officiate during the Quadrangular World Series being held in Sri Lanka between the host country and Australia, India and Pakistan. National Grid International Panel "visiting" umpires for the three Tests will be Zimbabwe's Ian Robinson (1st and 3rd) and India's V K Ramaswamy (2nd). Sri Lanka has requested a Panel umpire for the quadrangular tournament and he will be nominated shortly.
Former New Zealand captain John Reid is appointed referee for the Pakistan v Australia three-Test series and the triangular ODI series involving both nations and South Africa. The umpires have not yet been named. Further appointments will be announced in early August.
