Inter-District Northeast Triangular

The Inter-District Northeast Triangular Tournament will be played at the Jaffna Central College grounds from the 20th to the 28th of October 2001. Teams from the districts of Jaffna, Batticaloa and Vavuniya will be participating. The tournament will be played on a round-robin basis with teams playing each other twice and the top two teams meeting in the final.

This tournament is organized by the National Development Centre of the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka. Tournaments in other provinces are organized by the respective provincial cricket associations.

The Inter-District Northeastern Tournament was last held in 1999 in Jaffna, when the team from Batticaloa District became champions.
