The South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) today announced a twelve-man West End Redbacks squad to take on the Tasmanian Tigers in their second Pura Cup game of season 2003-04.
There is only one change to the team which won outright against the Western Warriors last week in Perth.
New recruit, 19-year-old fast-medium bowler Trent Kelly, comes into the side to replace Mick Miller who injured his shoulder during the game in Perth.
Kelly is in South Australia's second XI which is today in its final day of the four-day match against New South Wales on Bankstown Oval. Kelly scored 44 runs and took 2 wickets in South Australia's first innings.
Kelly also has been in outstanding form, with both the bat and the ball, for his Grade club West Torrens, scoring 102 not out in their first game earlier this month and taking 4 for 38 last weekend against Kensington.
The Redbacks team is:
Greg Blewett (c) | Trent Kelly |
Mark Cleary | Andy Flower |
Chris Davies | Mark Higgs |
John Davison | Graham Manou |
Shane Deitz | Paul Rofe |
David Fitzgerald | Shaun Tait |
The Pura Cup game runs from November 3 to 6 on Bellerive Oval in Hobart.
