The South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) today announced a 12-man West End Redbacks squad to take on Western Australia in the first home game of the season, in what will be the first chance for South Australians see Andy Flower play for the Redbacks.
The ING Cup game takes place this Sunday, November 9 in a day game, commencing at 9.30am.
The squad sees just one change from the team which beat Tasmania last Saturday in Hobart, with 19-year-old Trent Kelly coming in to the side for injured Shaun Tait.
Tait strained his groin while bowling during the Pura Cup game in Hobart this week, and subject to the results of scans, may be unavailable for 2-3 weeks.
Kelly, a fast-medium bowler from West Torrens, made his debut for the Redbacks in 2002-03 and is a 2003 Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy scholar.
The Redbacks team is:
Greg Blewett (c) | Andy Flower |
Mark Cleary | Mark Higgs |
Mark Cosgrove | Ben Johnson |
John Davison | Trent Kelly |
Shane Deitz | Graham Manou |
Callum Ferguson | Paul Rofe |
The one-day game starts at 9.30am with the Adelaide Oval gates opening at 8.30am. Tickets are available through Venuetix or at the gate on the day. Prices are $10 for adults, $5 for pensioners and children and family tickets are $17.
