The former Eastern Province batsman, Kenny McEwan, will be spending a day
with the Lennon EP Cricket Academy on Monday, 18 June.
McEwan, currently farming in the Tsitsikama region, had a golden career
spanning from 1972 to 1992. He represented Eastern Province, Western
Province, Border, Essex and Western Australia in a distinguished career in
which he amassed 26 628 first class runs at the highly impressive average of
41.74.
During his illustrious career, McEwan scored 74 first-class
hundreds and 122 fifties. He also amassed 11 866 limited overs runs at an
average of 33.52 which included 16 hundreds and 69 fifties.
McEwan will address the Lennon EP Cricket Academy at 10:00 on various
aspects of cricket and especially the techniques he implemented during his
career. He will also spend time at the Academy net session advising players
on various methods of improving their batting performance.
