Kirtley to stay on with Test squad

James Kirtley is to stay on with England's Test squad after the one-day international series.

Kirtley was due to go home on Monday with the rest of the one-day specialists, but with James Anderson doubtful for the Tests with an injured ankle and Stephen Harmison out with a bad back, Kirtley has been retained as extra cover.

Kirtley was due to replace Anderson in today's second ODI at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, but the start was delayed due to heavy rain. The first Test starts at Galle on December 2.
