Lancashire League: Harper signs with Nelson

Lancashire League champions Nelson have re-signed professional Roger Harper.

The Guyanan all-rounder has spent the winter working with the West Indies A-team.

And there had been some doubt over his possible involvement in this summer's World Cup.

But Nelson received a signed contract the day after Brian Lara's captaincy was announced.

Captain Duncan Spencer said: "Roger just brings 100 per cent quality.

"He is a professional down to his toes and he brings respect which is important."
