Mirza dies suddnely.
Worcestershire`s 24-year-old fast bowler Parvaz Mirza died suddenly at his home in Birmingham on Sunday, club officials said.
Parvaz played in five championship matches in the recent English
county season and played in his side`s final Sunday league game
against Glamorgan last weekend.
A Worcestershire statement said: "The cause of his death is not
yet known but as far as the club is aware he had been in good
health and had not been ill recently."
County secretary Michael Vockins said: "We are devastated. The
news has come as a complete bombshell. You don`t really think of
these things happening to a young man, especially a professional
sportsman."
Parvaz joined Worcestershire in 1993 and made his first class debut a year later.
