Daryl Mitchell has extended his contract with Worcestershire. The one-year deal lasts until the end of the 2009 season.
Mitchell, an allrounder, averaged 43 in the Championship this season. "I am a Worcestershire lad and I want to play for the club for many years to come," he said. "I feel the way I performed in the last few games that I have established myself at the top of the order."
