Northerns coaches on the move

The Northerns Cricket Union's Coaches Association was successfully launched at the University of Pretoria's High Performance Centre on the 6th March 2003.

The launch was attended by 70 coaches and special guests such as Brandon Foot - President NCU, Anton Ferreira - UCB Manager Coaching and Maxwell Jordaan - UCB Manager Development. The association was very privileged to have one of the Cricket World Cup's Sporting Ambassadors as the guest speaker and his powerful message left everybody in awe. Shortly after the launch the Association held its first Annual General Meeting on the 31st March 2003.

The AGM was well attended and eleven members were selected to serve on the Association's Executive Committee, which has subsequently held three meetings. Various sub-committees have been appointed to address the various coaching issues within the province.

In order to promote interaction between all the coaches within the province, the committee invite all coaches within the province to attend a workshop to discuss all matters pertaining to cricket coaching such as coaching forums, refresher courses etc and at the same time join and become a member of the Association.
