Notts received a double boost this week as membership numbers showed a 10 per cent increase compared to this time last year and a major team sponsor put pen to paper on a new deal.
Nottingham-based accountants and business advisors PKF took over as white-clothing sponsors for Notts in 2001 and have now agreed to continue in the role until the end of the 2004 season.
Managing Partner Neil Gray said: "Everyone at PKF is delighted to be extending our association with Nottinghamshire CCC.
"We have enjoyed a very eventful and enjoyable first two years in partnership, having backed the team through to a Benson & Hedges Cup semi-final in 2001 and promotion in the County Championship last season.
"We would like to take this opportunity to wish Jason Gallian and the rest of the team the best of luck in the new season - and here's hoping for continued success over the next two years."
Sales and Marketing Manager Lisa Pursehouse was delighted PKF had signed up once again and said: "It's excellent news that we have the continued backing of PKF for two more seasons and it's particularly pleasing to be working with a local company.
"The prospect of having two proven world stars like Chris Cairns and Stuart MacGill wearing the PKF logo on their chests clearly helped make the decision and has also captured the imagination of Notts supporters.
"Our overseas players and excellent performances in Australia this winter from youngsters Bilal Shafayat and Samit Patel has created a real buzz around Trent Bridge and it looks like being another exciting season."
Lisa added that she was expecting membership to continue to rise up until the start of the new season.
