SS : NSW v Tasmania, Sydney (D/N), 9-12 Dec 94
NSW coach Steve Rixon said his team will not alter its style of
play for the historic day-night Sheffield Shield match with
Tasmania, starting at the Sydney Cricket Ground this afternoon.
But, he hopes the Tasmanians, who have a reputation for allowing
the opposition to set the pace of the game, alter their strategy.
Today's game, which starts at 2:30pm and goes through until
9:30pm, is the first day-night shield match to be played at the
SCG and follows from the successful Western Australia- Queensland
day-nighter two weeks ago.
The Blues had a useful two-hour centre wicket training session
under lights on Wednesday with every batsman getting at least 20
minutes at the crease.
