Mark Rushmere, the former Eastern Province stalwart and captain, will spend
Wednesday morning (22 August) at the Lennon's EP Cricket Academy.
According to Russell Domingo, Lennon's EP Cricket Academy Coach, Rushmere
will concentrate on the role of the captain and his talk promises to be
extremely informative. Rushmere is widely regarded as one of South Africa's
most astute first class captains.
Rushmere's first class career spanned from 1983-1999. He represented
Eastern Province, Gauteng, Captained SA 'A', played in four One Day
Internationals and one Test - the memorable encounter in the West Indies in
the 1991/92 season.
Mark has played in 135 first class matches scoring 8 094 runs at an
impressive average of 39.87. He has scored 20 hundreds and 38 first class
fifties.
