Sri Lanka's Pride - Special Event

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the BCCSL has jointly organized a special event to wish the National Cricket team success at the World Cup 2003. All cricket loving citizens are welcome.

This special event titled Sri Lanka's Pride will commence at 3.00 pm today (30th January 2003) from the Independence Square drive. The programme is as follows:

3.00 pm Arrival of National Team

3.05 pm School Cricket Teams welcome the National Team

3.15 pm National team Taken in a procession to the stage by the School Cricket Captains

3.30 pm Team received by Hon. Minister of Sports, The Chairman & The Chief Executive of the BCCSL at the Independence Square

3.40 pm Song by Victor Ratnayake

3.50 pm Address by the Minister

4.00 pm Commencement of signature campaign

4.10 pm Message by Sanath Jayasuriya (Captain)

4.15 pm Music & Entertainment
