LONDON - Australian all-rounder Stuart Law will be Essex`s
overseas player next season so long as he is not chosen for the
tour to Sri Lanka in early August, the English county side
revealed on Monday.
"If he is picked then we will seek to engage someone else. We
certainly have someone in mind,`` said Essex secretary and
general manager Peter Edwards.
The 27-year-old right handed batsman and medium pace bowler,
who captained Queensland to their first Sheffield Shield last
year, is poised to replace Australian colleague Mark Waugh.
