Big earner: Dilshan fetched Chappell 105 points  •  Associated Press

As we head into the Super Eights, it's still Sambit Bal who is at No. 1 in the Star Wars league, leading Ian Chappell by a slim margin of 61 points.
Ian had a good first game between Sri Lanka and West Indies, which allowed him to inch ahead of Sambit. Tillekaratne Dilshan, who Ian had brought into his team a day before the game, justified his inclusion, fetching 105, while Dwayne Bravo and Ajantha Mendis chipped in with a handy 75 and 70 respectively. Meanwhile, the only player who gave Sambit points from that game was Bravo.
But the second game between Ireland and India saw Sambit steal a march over Ian, courtesy Gautam Gambhir and Pragyan Ojha. Gambhir (trump) gave Sambit 98, while Ojha gave him 65. Rohit Sharma fetched Sambit 74, but that was negated as Rohit was Ian's trump. However, Ian was let down by the other players he had picked for the game. Suresh Raina yielded just 10, Niall O Brein didn't play and Kevin O Brein accounted for just 2 points.
Sanjay Manjrekar is at No. 3 with 1868 and David Lloyd at No.4 with 1368.
