Tongan summer tour of Australia

The Tongan National Senior and Under 15 teams have been in Australia for the past month as part of their annual tours program.

The squads arrived in Sydney in mid-December for a series of matches against local Sydney club teams including Manly Eagles and the Cricketers Club of NSW.

The annual tour is part of the ongoing development of Tonga's brightest cricketers, with eight new faces in the squad from the team that finished fourth at the EAP Cricket Cup in September.

The visit to Australia is the second in a year for the Under 15 squad, who competed in the EAP Under 15 Cricket 8s in Melbourne during February 2005. The tour continues until the end of February.
