Daryl Tuffey, the New Zealand fast bowler, is set to partner Glenn McGrath in a Sydney club match as part of his comeback from injury. Tuffey has not played international cricket since early 2005 owing to a persistent bicep injury.
Tuffey, 28, will share the new ball for Sutherland in their two-day match against Mosman at Caringbah Oval this weekend. Tuffey opened the bowling and took one for 38 off his ten overs against Fairfield-Liverpool in last weekend's season-opening one-day match, when their opponents racked up 280 for three to win by 19 runs.
Tuffey has played 22 Tests and 76 one-day internationals. Though he missed a New Zealand Cricket contract in June, his domestic side, Northern Districts, have included him in their list of 12 contracted players for the upcoming season.
