Waqar Younis will soon be appointed as the bowling coach of Pakistan's National Cricket Academy, which is based in Lahore.
The Times of India reported that all the negotiations were over and terms and conditions were being worked out. Waqar is likely to take charge after the current series.
Waqar had officially announced his retirement from international cricket a few days back. Shahryar Khan, the PCB's chairman, had repeatedly suggested that Waqar's expertise would be utilised in some capacity.
Waqar is also likely to be appointed as Pakistan's bowling coach in the future. The appointment is expected to come through in a few months time.
