@naveed: we saw what zaheer did in all the other series!! He has grown quite old and its time we utilise our youth. i would have personally liked umesh yadav in there but its looks a fairly ok squad to me as long as we are consistent and maintain fitness

With the current England team, even Bangladesh can win a test series...

This is horrible England team right now the way they are doing as latest vs SL so India have bright chances to beat an already beaten team :)

Great & Realistic Cartoons, Mr. Acharya! Has India really addressed the deficiencies observed from the 2011 England Tour? Opening Batsmen- prone to poking balls outside the off stump, Same Captain who has never won a Test overseas with almost 100% loss record + bowlers deprived of coaching on line length & direction! Fortunately they face England which is in the rebuilding phase but with 2 foreign born players who are leading their batting.

Well ... MSD is not taking chances even with this expanded squad ... but what about booking a holiday for a reserve batsman? Is MSD sure that batsmen won't be hurt by bouncers??

@Naveed Khan - I guess you are pretty good at maths. Then go and calculate the number of Test series India have already won in England. I don't think you took that into consideration while you were busy doing Probability and Statistics. :)

No Zak is a good thing. His time is up. But no leg spinner in the test side will lead to whitewashes in both eng and aus

Guys !!! Last Time When all the Players were Injured and India didn't had a Bowler for the 3rd Test, BCCI named RP Singh as Replacement.... That Time RP Singh was in USA for Holidays and he didn't had any time to adjust to the UK Surroundings....This time He is forced to spend his Holidays in UK so that he is accustomed to the Surroundings and will deliver when the Squad gets Injured and he is called up... Great Thinking by MSD & BCCI.

Satish, I don't get it! Incidentally, I think you are a better picker of "puns" than this cartoon shows. There is much latent humor in India's team's historical overseas performance record for India cartoonists can use! The challenge is to stop at the satire, and not the player. I am waiting for your next cartoon!

It's not Pankaj Singh, but Rudra Pratap Singh, who is a very close pal of MSD since or maybe way before MSD burst out into the scene.
