Indo-Pak tension always fall on cricket. They are still playing hockey, volley ball etc etc. Does anyone know why only cricket is targeted? Regards

hahaha good one lol. I was expecting this sort of piece when Wasim said that because IPL 6 hasn't brought free flowing runs for batsmen. I think thats because the wickets have a bit of support for bowlers this season. Im a Pakistani. But being a cricket fan I feel that Pak players would be a nice blend of spice for IPL as Pak players are considered good especially in T20s. I would really like to see Junaid, Irfan, Ajmal, Umar Akmal, Gul, Jamshed, Hafeez etc play in IPL.

Thats cheesy. He made this comment when IPL had barely started so he was obviously referring to previous IPL's. And he would know... didn't the team he was coaching won IPL last year?

Low scoring matches can still be made very low scoring matches if Pak bowlers were there ... that is what Wasim means ... easy runs can be scored even in low scoring matches ... definitely we miss Pak pacers, Afridi, Ajmal, Hafeez, etc.

Why's it too hard to digest.. what Wasim said was true... Pak bowlers are the best in the world... and they are even better on subcontinent pitches...

I am Indian that loves ipl, but it would be far better if it had Pakistani players in it Some of them are great 20 20 players and their fast bowlers would definitely add some life and spice to the ipl. I hope next season's ipl 7 will be ful of Pakistani talent. And as a kxip fan, I am glad that kxip have the one and only great azhar Mahmood, who is Pakistani punjabi. Long live ipl!

I agree with Waseem, and the fact that Indian Cricket Board & Government has mixed politics with Cricket is disgusting. Now see where it has brought us real competition for subcontinent fans.

lol Nice one, Satish.

Being an Ind fan, I really respect Wasim Akram. He is one of those very few Pak Cricketers who are humble human beings too. I think he wanted to say that if Pak players (especially bowlers) were playing, there would have been more competition between bat and ball.

But in this season, batsmen are unable to score runs freely (except MI vs DD match). Credit goes to Ind/ domestic bowlers for bowling good line and length and that too with PACE. Yep PACE, Vinay Kumar clocked 147 kmph in his last match. Umesh Yadav was in 140s as usual. Rahul Shukla was bowling around 145 kmph consistently. Awana was in 140s too. Bumrah has a unique bowling action too which can trouble many batsmen. So REFRESHING to see so many young Ind players showing Cricketing World what they are capable of.

that's excellent...hilarious.. ROFL!!!

What Wasim said is a fact. On Indian pitches Pakistani bowlers can be lethal, hope everyone remembers Shoaib's spell in first IPL for KKR. It is a different thing that this year IPL has low scorings. Wasim is a genius and have the capability to judge the bowlers, he wont make any lame excuses.
