Having racked up a mammoth total, North West Frontier Province completely annihilated Baluchistan inside three days in Quetta. Leading the rout was NWFP's captain, Umar Gul, whose 6 for 39 skittled Baluchistan for just 93 in their second innings. Forced to follow on, they could only muster 221, with Yasir Shah taking 4 for 96.
At 66 for 3 overnight, Baluchistan spectacularly lost seven wickets for 27 runs. Gul was the wrecker-in-chief, claiming five wickets in no time. Baluchistan's second innings was slightly better, but their top order slumped to 27 for 3 before Saeed Bin Nasir (47) and Kamran Hussain (48) delayed the inevitable. Gul started the rot by dismissing Shoaib Khan jnr for 6 and Yasir cleaned up the middle order.
Federal Areas 322 and 275 for 1 (Amin 101*, Bazid 66*, Majeed 66) lead Sind 367 (Sohail Tanvir 5-100) by 230 runs

Having dismissed Sind for 367, after an overnight 288 for 7, Federal Areas gained an 230-run lead by stumps on day three in Karachi. Leading their fortunes was Sohail Tanvir, with 5 for 100, and Umar Amin, who was unbeaten on 101 at the close of play.
Sind added 79 runs to their score thanks to useful innings from Tanvir Ahmed (41) and Sohail Khan (18*) who added 35 for the last wicket. Sohail Tanvir wrapped up the innings.
In reply, trailing by 45, Federal Areas were handed a good start from Raheel Majeed (66) and Umair Khan, who retired hurt on 26. Then came a handy partnership between Majid and Amin, who notched his maiden first-class hundred. After Majeed fell to Anwar Ali at 118 for 1, Bazid Khan moved to 66 by stumps.
