Domestic cricket to resume on Feb 20th

  1. The remaining tournaments of the Domestic season will now resume on the 20th February starting with the Patron's Trophy Grade I and II. It will be followed by Patron's Trophy One Day Tournament. The last Tournament of the season will be the Associations One day Tournament. The revised dates will be issued shortly. The venues already announced for the previous program will remain unchanged. The academy trainees will commence training on the 5th February. This will continue till the 18th February in Phase I of their training. Phase II of the Academy training will resume in May, after the Domestic season is over. Mr. Mudassar Nazar will supervise the Academy training. Mr. Ali Zia and Mr. Mohsin Kamal will assist him. Mudassar is expected to be here between 26th and 28th February. The names of the Academy trainees, as approved by the PCB Council and the Selection Committee will be made known after the series of one day matches with the Pakistan probables is over.

  1. With a view to give maximum practice to Pakistani players prior to their departure for New Zealand, and to give an opportunity to the Selectors to see the probables for the Academy, PCB is organizing 5 One day matches between Probables for Pakistan team and probables for Cricket Academy to be played at various venues all over the country. The schedule of these matches are:

26th January 1st One day at Gaddafi Stadium
  (day) match Lahore
27th January 2nd One day at Gaddafi Stadium
  (day/night) match Lahore
29th January 3rd One day at National Stadium
  (day/night) match Karachi
31st January 4th One day at Shahi Bagh Stadium
  (day) match Peshawar
2nd February 5th One day at KRL Stadium
  (day) match Rawalpindi


The teams for the first two One day matches on 26th and 27th January 2001 would be announced shortly by the Selection Committee of PCB.

Final team of Pakistan for New Zealand would be announced after the 5th One day match.
