Pakistan has sought a postponement of its tour of Zimbabwe later this year, as it clashes with a proposed tour of India. Pakistan are scheduled to tour Zimbabwe for a series of two Tests, three ODIs and two T20s from December to January but, having agreed to resume bilateral ties with India earlier this year, their winter schedule is likely to need some tweaking.

The dates for the India visit haven't been announced but the respective cricket boards had agreed to a short series over the Christmas period, between the Test and one-day legs of England's tour of India. It will form the first bilateral series between the two sides since Pakistan toured India in end-2007.

"We have requested Zimbabwe to reschedule the series because of the India-Pakistan series," a PCB spokesman told ESPNcricinfo. "They agreed to work out another plan to host us so there is no way the series will be canceled. Instead the PCB and Zimbabwe Cricket are in discussions make it happen next year."

Pakistan do not have any international commitments scheduled from the end of the ICC World T20 in October till the tour of Zimbabwe, which is part of the Future Tours Programme. The dates for the tour hadn't been finalised either. Pakistan last toured the country for a short series in 2011.

By going the present trend, if a test match is played between IND-PAK right now i am sure AJMAL willL win the bout against SACHIN , but that match will be a treat to watch , after watching last odi vrs AUSSEs in which u r youngesters performed well , if u r bats men, fieldres backs u r bowlers its very difficult to beat u r team in this part of the world, both IND- PAK are blessed with some extra ordinary young talent , cant wait for long - want a test series immidiatly ,wake up BCCI,

@ Adee Amjad it could have something to do with ZC renovating the 2 grounds in Harare and Bulawayo so it wont be ready

Really disrespectful ...As some members pointed out, would PCB do this with SA,AUS,ENG, SL or even WI....Since tour with India is scheduled to happen , PCB shud go ahead with tours commited and look forward for dates with BCCI... Somethings never change...

Pak India series should include at-least 1 test. A rather weak Paksitani side will learn a lot by playing high quality Indian side.

@nasir.khhan - yes that's the reason i want to see this two battle as there are hardly any bowlers who can trouble Tendulkar the way Ajmal did in that World Cup semi-final & he got him in Asia Cup too...it will be one of the epic battles just like Tendulkar had with Wasim-Waqar-Donald-McGrath-Ambrose-Walsh-Warne-Muralitharan in the 90's.

@ Jose Puliampatta - just got confused between dawn & twilight i disagree with you...Tendulkar is rusty & has played no cricket after IPL...he will come back with a bang & we should leave Sachin alone as Javed Miandad has pointed out !

@tanstell87 would't wish for it if you had watched 2011 WC match.

Pakistan should send an A-team to Zimbabwe and the senior side to India.
