A disciplined effort with the ball followed by a clinical run chase gives Peshawar Zalmi a much-needed win. Islamabad United have now lost two in a row after winning their first five and they went with four changes to their line-up today. Chasing a modest total, Zalmi lost three wickets inside the powerplay and found themselves in a tricky situation but that's when Sadaqat and Babar stitched together a 100-plus partnership and made light work of the target. Sadaqat was calm and composed at the crease on his PSL debut, pacing his innings beautifully while Babar did what he does best. The situation was tailor-made for him: he took his time before opening up with some delightful strokes, including those trademark flicks through midwicket. Islamabad might consider fielding their full-strength side in the next game to get back to winning ways and play their strongest combination

Dwarshuis to Bryant, FOUR runs

Plenty of oomph behind that smack in the vacant area at midwicket and Peshawar Zalmi win it in style. It was back of a length delivery that didn't do much in the channel, he pulled it with ferocity across the line.

Raash95: "Sadaqat should be the MOM"

16.3
Dwarshuis to Bryant, no run

Hits back of a length and gets it to curl back and rise rather steeply, beaten on the cut

16.2
1
Dwarshuis to Babar Azam, 1 run

Fraction short and angling into the pads, whipped around the corner and the scores are level

2
Dwarshuis to Babar Azam, 2 runs

Gets width and plays a solid cross-bat shot to sweeper cover, Farhan with some nifty soccer skills prevents a four

Naseem Shah to Maaz Sadaqat, OUT

Booms the drive but ends up nicking it to the keeper, wanted to play the glory shot, it was a teasing off-stump line, wanted to hit straight. Nevertheless, he has done his job and shown no jitters at all, looked a focused individual who reads the game well and plays according to the situation

Naseem Shah to Babar Azam, 1 run

Fraction short and gets a hint of inward seam movement off the deck, clipped nicely to deep backward square and it's a welcome fifty for Babar, he needs runs to get back to his normal service and this will make him feel better for sure

15.3
Naseem Shah to Babar Azam, no run

Hurls down a nasty bumper around the line leg and then follows it up with a friendly handshake and a few words to Babar

15.2

Naseem Shah to Babar Azam, FOUR runs

Touch too full and offers some width, handsomely and languidly lifted up and over mid-off for a four, timing was sweet. 100 partnership between these two

Naseem Shah to Babar Azam, no run

Over the wicket, slightly short and hung outside off, picturesque straight drive towards mid-off, full face of the bat

Hamza: "Definitely way too early to say anything, but if Maaz keeps playing this way he might be able to aid Pakistan's middle order issue."

Meredith to Babar Azam, 1 run

Shorter length and outside off, backfoot pull to deep midwicket for a single

14.5
Meredith to Babar Azam, no run

Crowd chants Babar Babar...fraction short delivery on that shoe box zone length and it zips away a fraction, beaten on the outside edge, nice delivery to finish the over

Meredith to Babar Azam, 1 wide

Short and deviating outside the marker on off, arms outstretched from the umpire, 10 away from a resounding win

14.4

Meredith to Babar Azam, SIX runs

That is marvelously fashioned six; good length on middle and leg, he backs away and lifts it up and over wide mid-off for six. Pure class

14.3
Meredith to Babar Azam, no run

Over the wicket, bowls a brute of a delivery that nips in a fraction and squares him up a touch, this is the length that PZ pursed with relentlessly and got rich dividends

Back of a length angled into his hips, tucked away to midwicket for a run

Meredith to Maaz Sadaqat, FOUR runs

Around the wicket, came wide of the crease and thumped hard into the surface, angling into him, spotted it early and bashes it insolently into the gap at long-on. Continues to impress, very mature

13.6
Saad Masood to Babar Azam, no run

Given less air and skidded on towards middle and leg, tries to slug it into the leg side and couldn't execute the shot properly

Saad Masood to Maaz Sadaqat, (no ball) 1 run

Googly around the line middle and off, smothers the spin with a crack down the floor and Maaz tried a caught and bowl and misses it. Meanwhile, he brings up his maiden half-century, that's exactly what you call seizing on the opportunity, been a splendid innings. Oh, it's another no-ball, Saad finding it tough to content with pressure of top-tier cricket

Saad Masood to Babar Azam, (no ball) 1 run

Quicker on a length outside off, covers his off-stump and works it down to long-on and that's a no ball
