5:24pm And as the Australia players begin celebrating their success, it is time for us to say goodbye. Hope you enjoyed our coverage as much as we loved bringing it to you. Until next time, this is Shashwat, signing off on behalf of Chandan, Vairavan and everyone else at ESPNcricinfo. Take care, folks!

Mitchell Marsh, the Australia captain is also the Player of the Series: I do enjoy this country, a great place to tour. Looking forward to a few days off now. This particular tour, we had a great team effort. We took the game on, had a little bit of luck at times but we had a positive mentality. (On his captaincy) Learnt a lot. When I was younger, captaining the Scorchers, I was struggling a little. Have a great coaching group and leaders around to help us prepare. It was not just me and it was a collective effort. (On where this team is headed and the young talent) We are building towards next year's World Cup. Really pleased with the players that have come in and have stepped up. Winning in South Africa is very hard to do and to be a part of this series has been very special.

Travis Head, Player of the Match: (On his knock) Nice to be back contributing. Limited opportunities in this format for me. Struggled a little to find my tempo and was nice to contribute tonight. In this team, the power we got, it puts pressure on the attack. Once I was settled in, I tried to pick the right moments and wanted to be as aggressive as possible. Guys are getting opportunities in the Big Bash and various leagues. Four or five guys are not here and it shows the strength we have. Nice to have that depth.

Aiden Markram, South Africa captain: (On the dropped catches today) Thought we were slightly better today. Not where we want to be but better. We have to see where we can improve and take it moving forward as a white-ball unit. Have to give credit to someone like Donovan on debut. To get to 190, I suppose you always take it. We were pretty much happy with it at the interval. (On switching on to the ODI series) It is quite big for us. A series before the World Cup is important to get your combinations (right). Looking forward to it and hopefully we can take some momentum into the World Cup.

5:10pm A resounding run-chase to cap off what has been an amazing series for Australia. Tonight, though, they were put under some early pressure, with Marsh and Short departing inside the powerplay. Luckily for them, Head and Inglis, both of whom had enjoyed relatively quiet series before tonight, stood up. Head blazed away to 91 off 48, with Inglis sparkling his way to a 22-ball 42. Stoinis also got into the act once Inglis perished, scoring 37 off 22 and hitting the winning runs.

Plenty to ponder for South Africa, of course. The most worrying bit, though, would be how they lacked penetration, not just today but throughout the series. Yes, they did not have their first-choice bowling line-up available, although the manner in which Australia dominated will hurt them. They now have a few days to get over the disappointment of this T20I series and come back with increased vigour for the ODI series, which begins on Thursday at Bloemfontein.

Coetzee to Stoinis, 1 run

that will be that, Australia win this match by five wickets, and they win this three-match T20I series 3-0! Full on leg stump. Stoinis plants his front foot and clips it towards deep square leg to seal the deal for Australia. Slightly anti-climactic after all the hitting they have produced this series, but they will not mind it one bit!

Coetzee to Turner, 1 run

full and wide outside off. Turner plays with an open bat face and runs it down to third man. Scores level now!

Just two needed now to seal a whitewash

Coetzee to Stoinis, 1 run

dug in short outside off again. Stoinis controls his pull and collects a single to deep square leg

Coetzee to Turner, 1 run

short on leg stump. Turner lets the ball come to him before pulling it towards deep square leg

Turner, playing his first match of the series, in at 7. He has a chance to finish things off in style for Australia. Or he can take the simpler option and give Stoinis the strike...

Coetzee to David, OUT

David perishes looking for the six! Dug in outside off and David's eyes light up. He is hitting to the longer side, though, and while he gets a decent chunk of it, he does not get enough to clear the sweeper at deep mid wicket. A bit of an anti-climax really as Coetzee bags his second of the evening!

full and angled into off stump. David sits back in his crease and stabs it past extra cover to get off the mark

David walks in, with Australia needing five runs off 19 balls. Not trying to be greedy or anything but can David finish it this ball?

Fortuin to Head, OUT

Head falls! Full and fired across the batter well outside off. Head has to fetch it and in that pursuit, cannot get the elevation he is after. Arrows it straight down Bavuma's throat at long off, who after putting down a couple of chances, holds onto this one!

oh, wow, what a shot that is! Slower delivery on a length on middle and off stump. Head backs away and seems to have been deceived by the lack of pace. He keeps his eyes on the ball, though, and whips it past deep mid wicket
