Mohammad Sami and Danish Kaneria took four wickets each to skittle
Baluchistan for 164 on the first day
at the National Stadium in Karachi. Shahzaib Hasan then scored an unbeaten half-century to cement
Sind's dominance.
Baluchistan were rocked by two early strikes from Sami, who completed 50 first-class wickets this season when he dismissed Bismillah Khan for a duck. Danish Kaneria got into the act, Tabish Khan picked up a couple of wickets, and Baluchistan were 83 for 6. Saeed Anwar junior survived the carnage and made 75 off 141 balls. A partnership with Rizwan Haider helped Baluchistan go past 150, but Sami and Kaneria came back to finish the innings off.
Sind's openers started steadily in their reply and added 59 for the first wicket. After Sharjeel Khan was dismissed, Shahzaib put together an unbeaten 68 runs with Aqeel Anjum.
