Scorecard
Ashton Agar scored his second first-class century as Western Australia remained in control on the third day of their Sheffield Shield clash with Tasmania in Perth. At stumps, Tasmania were 5 for 184 in their second innings, with a lead of just 30, and plenty of work remained for James Faulkner, who was at the crease on 31, and Tom Triffitt, who had 13.
Jordan Silk had been caught behind off Joel Paris from the first ball of the innings but his opening partner Ben Dunk continued his strong form to post 75. However, Tasmania had conceded a 154-run first-innings advantage to Western Australia, who had started the day on 6 for 265 and added 150 runs for the loss of their last four wickets.
The key man was Agar, who scored 106 and now has two hundreds this Shield season and is eighth on the competition run tally. However, Tasmania did themselves no favours in the field; Agar was dropped three times, including twice by wicketkeeper Triffitt, who put down four chances in total during the Tasmania innings.
