India v Pakistan, women's World Twenty20, Galle

Women's World Twenty20 2012-13

At Galle, October 1, 2012. Pakistan won by one run. ‡Pakistan 98-9 (20 overs); India 97-8 (20 overs) (Nida Dar 3-12). Twenty20 international debut: R. K. Parwin (India). PoM: Nida Dar. Defeats by England and Australia could be excused, but India's failure to chase 99 against their closest rivals - who had never before beaten one of the big four - was a serious wake-up call. India were sitting pretty at 44-1 in the tenth over, before off-spinner Nida Dar took three wickets in six balls to turn the match. Nagarajan Niranjana made a brave attempt to score 16 off Sana Mir's last over, but was run out returning for a third that would have tied the match.
