Thomas Hansen is a medium-pace swing bowler and useful lower middle-order batsman who was good enough to attract the attention of Hampshire, although he made only four first-class appearances for them between 1997 and 1999. For Denmark, however, he has been far more active and has been the spearhead of their attack for almost a decade. He captained the Under-19 side at the International Youth Tournament in 1995 and has been an ever-present since. At the 2005 ICC Trophy he took 15 wickets at 14.00, including a List A career-best return of 6 for 30 in a narrow win over Uganda. In 2007 he went one better, taking a remarkable 7 for 13 in ten overs against Bermuda.
