Guyana fast bowler Barrington Browne went wicketless in his first three ODIs for West Indies, before getting Sachin Tendulkar as one of his two wickets in his fourth. That came on the tour of India in 1994, and he never played for West Indies again.

Next year, Browne was part of the Guyana side that played the touring Australians in a three-day fixture, where he dismissed Mark Taylor. He got 15 wickets in the Red Stripe Cup, West Indies' first-class competition, in 1995-96, but gradually faded away thereafter.

Next season's Red Stripe tournament turned out to be Browne's last at the competitive level for seven years. Returning to action in the now-defunct Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy, the top List A tournament in England, Browne featured in one match for Cheshire. But he bowled only 2.4 overs and didn't play domestic cricket after that.
