KCC to host Hong Kong's first Twenty20 competition
The Kowloon Cricket Club will host Hong Kong Kong's first Twenty/Twenty Cricket competition on 30th January 2006.
- Match 1: Start 11:00AM - KCC vs HKCC
- Match 2: Start 2:00PM - KCC vs ICCA
- 20 overs per side and 11 players in one team.
- Bowlers are restricted to 4 overs each.
- Fielding restrictions in the first six overs - 2 fielders outside circle with a minimum of two stationary fielders.
- Fielding restrictions for overs 7-20 - maximum five fielders allowed outside of circle.
- A 'no-ball' is worth 2 runs, and the batsman gets a free hit after a no ball.
- At the fall of a wicket, the new batsman must arrive at the crease within 90 seconds or on appeal by the fielding side, the umpire rules him out.
- Each side has 80 minutes to get through their 20 overs. If they don't they are docked 6 runs per over, unless the umpires are of the opinion that there was good cause in which case, the fielding side will not be penalized for those many overs which comprise of 1 over for every 4 minutes or part thereof.
- There will be a 15 minutes break between innings. And no drinks breaks.
- All other one-day rules apply.
