6b to DJ Malan, smashed on the front pad, absolutely stone dead! Angled across the left-hander, shaping back in. Malan gets down for the big slog-sweep but is trapped in front. A man fixing a pipe couldn't be plumber than that. 7/1 8b to Z Crawley, surely stone dead again? Umpire Lloyd says no, but Willey will review after consultation with Banton and Hosein. Crawley was down low on the sweep but done for pace, and hit on the front pad. Pitched in line, impact in line, smashing into leg stump!. 8/2 | ||||||||||

19b to MS Pepper, chopped straight to short third! Root takes a juggling catch. Pepper shimmies outside leg stump looking to manufacture some room, but Cook follows him. Pepper rocks back, and cuts straight to Root. Cook gets bragging rights in the Essex dressing room. 18/3 89b to TE Lawes, nicked off! Attempted uppercut, gets a feather on it, and Banton takes the catch. The end of a real grind for Lawes who throws his head back in frustration. 109/8 | ||||||||||

32b to DW Lawrence, knocks him over! Lawrence is cleaned up. Still fairly short, but it keeps low and sneaks underneath the bat as Lawrence looks to hoick leg-side. Just a hint of turn to peg back leg stump. 34/4 74b to G Clark, dragged down again, no mistake at long-on this time! Hose was the fielder, running in 15 metres off the rope and sliding forwards. Takes a good catch, and Clark falls for 36. Should be simple enough for the Rockets from here. 96/7 | ||||||||||

67b to HC Brook, picks out Rehan on the square leg boundary! Huge wicket. Slower ball from Stoinis, back of a length and wide outside off. Brook tried to drag it across the line with his wristy taking over, but couldn't get the distance on it. Some confusion between Rehan and Ferguson on the rope, but it was Rehan's catch, and he completed it on his knees after sliding to his left. 90/5 68b to Imad Wasim, and whips his first ball straight to deep square leg! Looked like a freebie from Stoinis, a slot ball angling down the leg side. Imad shimmied down, looking to pick him up over the leg side, but could hardly have picked Cook out better if he tried. 90/6 | ||||||||||

Banton gets down to slog-sweep but plays over the top of it, as Imad skids one into middle-and-leg. 57/1 48b to JE Root, chipped straight back! Tame end for Root, who never really got going. An opening for the Superchargers. Steep bounce from a good length. Root was looking to work to leg, and his leading edge spoons up back to the bowler. Rehan nearly got in Imad's way there, but he completely the catch easily enough. 65/2 89b to TP Alsop, played on! Superchargers are still alive. That's one of the cheapest wickets you'll see. He picks out Crawley, who runs in off the rope and tumbles onto his backside as he swallows the chance. 84/3 85b to Rehan Ahmed, knocks him over! Slider crashes into off stump.
