The Jubille pitch was bequeathed to Cranleigh School tby old boys to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the school, although it was not used for major matches until 1924 when the current pavilion, a war memorial, was opened. It has been used by both the school, the old boys and the Cryptics CC ever since. The pitches, which are good and firm, are on clay, although despite this drainage is good as the ground slopes away from the square in almost every direction.
