Archie David Lenham
July 23, 2004, Eastbourne, Sussex
Right hand Bat
Archie Lenham became the first Blast baby in 2021 when he was thrown into the Sussex team as a 16-year-old. He was the first player to play in England's domestic T20 competition to have been born after the inaugural season of the Twenty20 Cup.
He dismissed Jack Taylor on debut against Gloucestershire but shot to attention in his second appearance, a televised game against Hampshire: he dropped a catch early on, but then returned 3 for 14 in his three overs to win the match award. By the end of the summer, Lenham had featured for Sussex in all three formats, as well as making his debut for England Under-19s.
His father, Neil, and his grandfather, Les, were both Sussex players.
