Sammy and Taylor shake hands and have a short chat, Best (as always) has a huge grin, Gayle (as usual) isn't smiling.

The last day of John Wright's spell as New Zealand coach, not the way he would have wanted this to end. A forgettable tour for Ross Taylor and his boys, outclassed in all three formats, just one ODI win all tour.

Tim: "Big moment for West Indies and especially Darren Sammy" Seconded.

Also, that not out score means Chanderpaul's Test average is up above 50 again, 50.20.

Post-match presentation:

Ross Taylor: "It's been a disappointing tour all round, we have had our chances in this match, in several matches this tour. The batting needs to take a good hard look at ourselves. There are some positives, the bowlers bowled well on a tough wicket. We needed to set them 270-300 on what was a fourth-day wicket. I think (our batsmen) shouldn't be satisfied with 50-60s, we are a young team, we are getting better every now and then."

Darren Sammy: "It's a feeling we are getting used to, and it feels quite good. The way Marlon held the innings together in both innings, that spell from Narsingh yesterday, the performances are coming from different players at different time, that's the hallmark of a good team. We have bowled them out every time we have played them this series, the efforts of Tino yesterday morning set the tone for us. The next assignment is the World T20, we have gotten the feeling of what it is like to win, but we have to continue to work hard. Last year or two has been tough for us, we are going to celebrate this day, but it is about continuous hard work." Sammy diplomatically avoids a prediction on who win will gold in the 100m.

Man of the Match is Marlon Samuels: "Most definitely, this is for Jamaica, the die-hard fans. Nothing difficult right now because I have two years of runs put down."

Man of the Series is Kemar Roach, who was among the wickets in both Tests, and eased West Indies towards victory today: "Of course as a fast bowler I'd like faster, bouncier wickets. I have a couple of weeks off, will spend it with the coach (working on the no-ball problems)."

The West Indies players and coaching staff collect their winners' medals. A beaming Darren Sammy steps forward to collect the series trophy.

Here's Kanishkaa's report of today's play. We'll have more analysis over the day.

See you again soon, enjoy the Olympics.
