9.03pm: Jonny Bairstow's one-man rampage isn't quite enough to prevent a second defeat from two games for Welsh Fire. He struck 86 not out from 50, but will rue losing the strike for a large chunk of the powerplay. Chris Green gave good support but, by the time Bairstow got going, Fire were too far off the pace

David Warner is the Match Hero: "Very, very close [at the end]. Credit to the way Jonny and Greeny batted, they were superb. We were trying to entertain the crowd and hope everyone was excited by the game. We tried to execute but Jonny was on fire. Glad we got across the line. [Hundred] Sort of getting used ot it, but I'm loving the crowds. Important win, lost our first at home, then two away games, this one and Manchester, nice to tick those off. Got a good bus ride tomorrow."

Right, that's yer lot for tonight. Cardiff was bouncing, but the jamboree moves on - Southampton and Nottingham the venues for tomorrow's double-headers. See you for more then. Bye!

Wood to Bairstow, no run

Wood keeps it in play, swatted back to the bowler. Spirit win by eight runs, they looked home and hosed only for it to turn into a real squeaker

He's going to need a concussion check, but looks fine

94
Overton to Green, no run
