All-round India thump Nepal

India Under-23s secured a 84-run victory over Nepal Under-23s, while Sri Lanka Under-23s beat UAE Under-23s by 30 runs

India Under-23s 268 for 5 (Rahul 88, Yadav 65, Regmi 3-90) beat Nepal Under-23s 184 for 8 (Sagar 52*, Bawne 3-36, Bumrah 2-35) by 84 runs
Scorecard and ball-by-ball details
An all-round display from Suryakumar Yadav helped India Under-23s secure a comprehensive 84-run victory over Nepal Under-23s in Group A of the Asian Cricket Council Emerging Teams Cup in Singapore.
Yadav, the Man of the Match, smashed eight fours and two sixes during his 39-ball 65, and together with Ankit Bawne, added 90 for the fourth wicket, before providing the breakthrough for India with the ball by dismissing opener Anil Mandal in the 18th over.
India, put to bat first, were in firm control throughout the match, and got off to a bright start as the openers Lokesh Rahul and Unmukt Chand struck nine fours and four sixes during a 118-run opening-wicket stand. Rahul made 88 off 123 deliveries and Chand hit a 77-ball 61 to take India to a position of strength. Left-arm spinner Basant Regmi took three wickets for Nepal, but conceded 90 runs in his 10 overs, as Yadav's late onslaught took India to a competitive 268 for 5 .
Nepal never really got going in their run-chase, as tight and incisive bowling from the Indian spinners curtailed the flow of runs. Bawne was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with 3 for 36, while medium-pacer Jasprit Bumrah played the ideal foil, taking the wickets of Regmi and Subash Khakurel.
With the exception of Sagar Pan who made an unbeaten 52 batting deep at No.9, none of the other batsmen produced any significant scores, as Nepal were restricted to 184 for 8 in their 50 overs.
Sri Lanka Under-23s 235 for 8 (Jayasuriya 101, Aziz 3-39) beat UAE Under-23s 205 for 9 (Saqib 71, Anwar 53, Jayaratne 3-36) by 30 runs
Scorecard
In Group B, Shehan Jayasuriya's 101 proved the difference as Sri Lanka Under-23s completed their second win of the tournament with a 30-run win over UAE in Singapore. Sri Lanka elected to bat, with the openers compiling 57 for the first wicket. Once Udara Jayasundera fell in the 12th over, wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwella and Jayasuriya added a further 45 to the score.
From there, however, wickets would fall at regular intervals, as Jayasuriya played the anchoring role. Sri Lanka eventually reached 235 for 8, with Jayasuriya bringing up his century in the 43rd over to add to his previous knock of 85. Nasir Aziz was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 39.
UAE started abjectly, losing opener Abdul Shakoor for a duck. Despite an 83-run partnership for the third wicket, UAE were under the cosh through the course of their innings. Saqib Ali (71) and Shaiman Anwar (53) were the only batsmen to provide any resistance, as UAE struggled to keep up with the required rate. They reached 205 for 9 at the conclusion of their 50 overs.
