2.2 to MR Marsh, nicked and gone! The perfect riposte from McAndrew! Back of a length in the channel and this decks away just a smidgen. Marsh gets opened up and dangles his bat. The ball kisses the outside edge and floats through to the keeper's right, who does the rest. Marsh's lean run continues!. 12/1 | ||||||||||

3.2 to FH Allen, gone this time! Topley had Allen in knots and now he has his reward. Hard length just outside leg. A bit of nip away and Allen is opened up like a deck chair. The ball skews off the leading edge and Gilkes at extra cover completes the easiest of catches. Scorchers in a spot of bother early!. 18/2 18.2 to AM Hardie, edged and gone! Back of a length, angled across the batter outside off. Hardie throws his hands at it, trying to access the off side. All he manages, though, is a feather through to the keeper. 5.3 to JP Inglis, shanked, and taken! The short ball, which Inglis feasts on so often, does for him tonight. On middle and leg and this seems to climb up. Inglis is cramped for room, with the ball also getting big on him. Splices it in the end and Sangha, tearing in from deep square leg, lunges forward and sends Inglis on his way!. 34/3 12.2 to C Connolly, this is another mishit, and taken this time! Slower ball on a length outside off. Connolly loses his shape and tugs at it in ungainly fashion. The ball goes straight up and Green, running in from deep mid wicket, does the rest. Sams is pumped, and this is a big moment in the game!. 110/4 19.5 to AC Agar, Agar caught on the fence - oh my! Dug into the track outside off. Agar has swipe at it but does not get it out of the middle. Deep square leg settles under it and does the rest. Turner, in all likelihood, will remain stranded on 99 but the Scorchers are already past 200!. 202/7 19.6 to JS Paris, superb work on the fence, and the Thunder finish with back-to-back wickets! Back of a length on middle and leg. Paris has a tug at it and gets good purchase. Not enough distance, though, and that brings Gilkes into play at deep mid wicket. He catches it but soon realizes that he will land beyond the rope. In that motion, he hurls the ball back in and finds Konstas, who had moved to his right anticipating that chance. 13.4 to LJ Evans, huge lbw shout, not given! That looked very close! Shortish on leg stump. Straightens a touch and Evans, nearly swinging himself off his feet, misses it to get rapped on the back thigh. If this has pitched in line, this could be curtains for Evans. No bat involved. Pitching in line, impact in line, and hitting middle stump two-thirds of the way up. Decision overturned and Evans has to go!. 121/5 | ||||||||||

6.4 to DA Warner, A terrific grab by Allen, and Warner has to go! Dug into the track outside off. Warner has designs of swatting this over long on but the ball pings off the bottom half of the bat. Perhaps stuck in the surface. Either way, Warner cannot generate the power or elevation he wants. Allen charges to his left and then lunges forward to pick this up inches off the turf. A bit of a check to see if the catch is clean, and all good on that front. Scorchers break through!. 60/1 | ||||||||||

12.2 to DR Sams, has Sams nicked this? He's not sure, but he is walking now! Paris sticks to his plans. Full and wide outside off again, asking Sams to fetch it. He gives it the lot but does not have a great shape behind the stroke. The ball kisses the outside edge, as confirmed by technology, and Sams has to depart for a 16-ball 13!. 99/5 12.6 to Shadab Khan, Goes way up, and Evans accepts the offering! Short ball, slanting into leg stump. Shadad wants to swipe at this but does not have a whole lot of room to work with. A cramped swing in the end and even though he gets lots of height, he cannot muster the adequate distance. Taken comfortably by Evans at deep square leg!. 104/6 | ||||||||||

15.4 to N McAndrew, McAndrew and his fun is over! Speared in full on middle and leg. McAndrew flicks it away uppishly towards deep square leg. Agar tracks it all the way, moves smartly to his left and makes no mistake whatsoever. Thunder nine down now!. 123/9 17.3 to RJW Topley, that will be that! And the final catch is taken, fittingly, by Turner! Sharp short ball on middle and off. Zips through and Topley is incredibly hurried on his hack. Lobs it tamely towards mid off, and the Scorchers captain ices a game he played a pivotal role in!. 131/10 | ||||||||||

14.3 to SJ Konstas, and Konstas will not face any more balls tonight! Slower bumper on middle and leg. Konstas moves over to the off side but does not have the requisite pace to hook this over short fine. Makes contact but offers the most regulation of chances to short fine leg. Thunder on the brink now!. 111/7 14.5 to CJ Green, holes out to long on, and the Thunder are right down now! Another slower ball testing out the middle of the track. Well outside off too, meaning Green has to fetch it. Swats it flat but also straight to Allen at long on, who snares the chance smartly!. 112/8 | ||||||||||

9.5 to CT Bancroft, Popped back to Connolly, and Bancroft's woes against spin continue! Fullish on middle and leg. Drifts in and then also stops in the surface. Bancroft closed his bat face too early and spoons it towards Connolly, who bends down low to his right and gobbles up the chance. Scorchers chipping away nicely now!. 81/3 9.6 to SW Billings, Hot knife through butter! Pushed in on a length just outside off. Billings goes back to a ball he should be forward to, and the ball skids in with the arm to cause him more problems. Cannot get his feet sorted and the ball breezes past the inside edge to knock back the top of off. Connolly on a hat-trick but he will have to wait for it!. 81/4 | ||||||||||
