Clinical Bears prey on Essex errors

Essex lost two home quarter-finals against Birmingham last season, over both 20 and 50 overs. They have now lost a third, outlasted by 24 runs by an efficient Birmingham side in the NatWest Blast quarter-final

Woakes (man of the match) leads it from the front, starting with unbeaten 48 with the bat and rides the scoring momentum along with Evans. Setting up 190 to win for the Essex they manages to get the important wickets and also not let the Essex batsmen to score big, all the five bowlers shares a wicket each and storms into the semis.
