he does and it's sealed with a six with five overs to spare! Dances down, takes it on the full and finds the straight long-on boundary with a powerful lofted shot

10.22pm The Stars move up the table with a thrashing over the Hurricanes, two crucial points for them. The win was set up by the bowlers actually, the spinners initially, Hastings and Boland's yorkers and the double-blow from Zampa. And not to forget the run-outs. The Hurricanes were hardly ever in this game and will lose Bailey too, as the Indian team has already arrived for the ODIs. Scott Boland is in the squad too, for the international series, and he looks pretty confident: "Yeah, I believe I'm bowling well, pretty confident with what I'm doing. If I get a game, that all be great. We've come from strength to strength to win the third or fourth match in a row now. There were a couple of nervous moments when KP was run out but there are steady hands in the line up."
Here's Maxwell, the Man of the Match: "My last game for the Stars this season so nice to go on a high and keep the momentum going for the finals. Hopefully I'll bowl a little better than that, I didn't bowl a legal one till the third delivery, I know Boof will be all over me for that. Hopefully it will be better from now. I only play the reverse-sweep to manipulate the field but it wasn't required today. It's going to challenge our depth (losing Faulkner, himself and Boland for the ODIs) like it has every season and hopefully the depth will shine through for us.
That, cricket lovers, is all for today's BBL action. There's more cricket happening - some in Cape Town, and some in Sharjah, so tune in for that and for Thunder v Scorchers tomorrow in Sydney. Hopefully the rain will subside there to allow some cricket. Until then, ciao!
Five to go, will he finish it off this over?
clips this one from the leg stump the leg side, in the gap again for two
fifty for Wright as well, he got a short ball and pulled it wide of long-on in the gap! He's in some form
pushes this one with hard hands down to long-on again, that's his fifty, his second in the last three matches
straight bat this time, four more! Shuffled down, it was a low full toss this time around the middle stump and he lofted it down beautifully with a straight bat for four!
Skander: "Finally a good inning from "the big show (maxwell)"
crackalicious! He danced down, it was a full toss on leg and he dispatched that with a big swing of the bat to the midwicket boundary! They've lost the ball now
works the short of length ball off the back foot to short fine leg
tries to whip it to leg, gets another inside edge, this one onto his pads for one more single
nicely done this time - gets some room outside off with the angle and cuts that with very good timing between backward point and short third man, nearly bisecting them for four!
Wright takes a blow around the chest off the inside edge. He looked to pull the short ball, didn't connect again and actually got it right into his abdomen! Looks fine now after rubbing it a bit
stays back and turns the ball from off stump towards long-on for two
tries to pull the short ball, gets a leg bye instead on leg
shuffles down and chips that with the turn over the covers in the gap for three
long-hop and it's nearly caught at wide long-on! Very poor delivery, he pulled it hard but didn't get the distance and a forward dive from Rose also couldn't make it possible
nicely tossed around off, some turn too and it's pushed to cover with a forward lean
too much flight, he comes down to make it a full toss and flicks to deep midwicket
slogs this fuller one down to long-on for one
ADVAITH: "tait still keeeping up his pace above 140 ks at this age!! what a bowler!!"
leggie on middle and leg, he presses forward and blocks
Just 36 more to get for the Stars. Here's Boyce
Prateek : "Luke must be in the england t20 world cup squad. He worth it "
still short of length around off, he works it away easily towards deep midwicket for one more
too slow and short, he stays back and muscles it behind square with a pull
