TOTAL103.4 Ov (RR: 2.80, 462 Mins)291
Fall of wickets: 1-45 (Andrew Strauss, 14.2 ov), 2-58 (Alastair Cook, 19.1 ov), 3-166 (Kevin Pietersen, 58.3 ov), 4-167 (Ian Bell, 60.1 ov), 5-245 (Paul Collingwood, 85.6 ov), 6-258 (Chris Read, 88.5 ov), 7-258 (Sajid Mahmood, 88.6 ov), 8-282 (Steve Harmison, 98.6 ov), 9-291 (Andrew Flintoff, 102.1 ov), 10-291 (Monty Panesar, 103.4 ov)
58.3 to KP Pietersen, gone this time - McGrath has his man, bounced out. Pietersen didn't control that hook and Hussey takes a good catch - running backwards - over his head at a slightly short midwicket. That's McGrath's first victim of the day, but his 900th international wicket. 166/3
60.1 to IR Bell, great ball, McGrath straight through the defences and that's two wickets in five balls for him. McGrath's jaffer hit the top of off after nipping back in and taking the inside edge and England have two new batsmen at the crease. 167/4
85.6 to PD Collingwood, jaffer, unplayable. That bounces up and Collingwood's squared up, feathering that one through to Gilchrist for McGrath's third delivery. The way McGrath's been bowling this morning that wicket was pretty inevitable - and just reward for his endeavours. 245/5
14.2 to AJ Strauss, edged and gone this time. Strauss had been given a life at third slip by Justin Langer, but he's gone this time, trying to play his favourite cut shot. In fact it's a loose waft to one which comes across him and Gilchrist snaps up a tidy catch, easily enough, with two hands on the left of his hips. 45/1
88.5 to CMW Read, no hiding place this time and he's gone! That one was too good, too fast and Read can't control it, flashing an edge through off the back foot. He could have left it, as it happened, given the ball swung away but it was all over with very quickly.. 258/6
88.6 to SI Mahmood, Lee's on a hat-trick, Mahmood has no idea where that's gone - to Hayden at gully as it happens. Top stuff from Lee again - hostile and England have no answers to either him or McGrath. 258/7
19.1 to AN Cook, ooh, great delivery and gets the reward. Again Clark targets Cook on the front foot; the batsman comes forward and prods at it with a straight bat, nibbling an inside edge through to Gilchrist who clasps a decent catch tumbling away to his right. 58/2
98.6 to SJ Harmison, yorker, Harmison shapes to turn to leg but misses, the ball hits him on the full and no doubts with Bowden's decision ... that was going on to hit a third of the way up middle and leg. 282/8
102.1 to A Flintoff, Flintoff takes two strides down the pitch and aims to thump the ball over extra cover, gets a thick edge and Glichrist holds a good catch diving high to his right. Flintoff slowly heads off as the SCG stands to recognise a fine innings ... and it's five catches for Gilchrist. 291/9
103.4 to MS Panesar, Panesar picks the wrong ball to sweep, it started on off stump and never moved, he missed it and Aleem Dar had a simple decision to make. It's Warne's 1000th international wicket but the celebrations are so muted as to be almost non existent ... a handshake from his colleagues and a half smile from the man himself. 291/10

TOTAL96.3 Ov (RR: 4.07, 432 Mins)393
Fall of wickets: 1-34 (Justin Langer, 9.3 ov), 2-100 (Matthew Hayden, 25.3 ov), 3-118 (Ricky Ponting, 32.3 ov), 4-155 (Michael Clarke, 43.1 ov), 5-190 (Michael Hussey, 56.2 ov), 6-260 (Andrew Symonds, 73.1 ov), 7-318 (Adam Gilchrist, 80.3 ov), 8-325 (Brett Lee, 83.3 ov), 9-393 (Stuart Clark, 95.3 ov), 10-393 (Shane Warne, 96.3 ov)
83.3 to B Lee, same line as the previous delivery, just short of a length and Brett Lee fends at the ball and nicks it. A routine catch for Chris Read, his fifth of the innings. 325/8
9.3 to JL Langer, and Anderson strikes! Not the best of balls, on the leg-side, and Langer chases after the ball and it comes off his glove, Read snapping up the catch and appealing/celebrating immediately. 34/1
56.2 to MEK Hussey, slanted across the left hander, Hussey plays for the swing but there is none, a thin edge just carries to a diving Chris Read who makes a tough catch look oh-so-easy. An almost perfect start for England.. 190/5
80.3 to AC Gilchrist, gone! Fishing at a very wide one and it appears an edge flies up to Read - or was the noise bat into the ground? There's a long time for the crooked finger to spell doom. Gilchrist can't believe it and the crowd can't either - the boos ring out as the dismissal is replayed on the giant screens around the SCG and Gilchrist walks off keeping his emotions to himself. 318/7
25.3 to ML Hayden, short and wide, inexplicably Hayden slashes at it and the ball flies off the top edge straight to Collingwood at second slip. Harmison jumps in delight, Hayden stands bemused with his own shot selection for a short time before heading off. 100/2
43.1 to MJ Clarke, big appeal and gone! Harmison got some extra lift there and Clarke went fishing on his back foot, attempting a cut. 155/4
95.3 to SR Clark, gone this time … Clark ballooning that one in the air, trying to hook, and Pietersen runs in for an easy catch, which he takes coolly. Clark goes for 35, his second-highest Test score.. 393/9
73.1 to A Symonds, done him! Terrible shot from Symonds, looking to swing away on the on-side but plays all round it and he's cleaned up just short of what would have been a well-deserved half-century. He was playing so well, working the singles around, but a head rush, a swoosh, and he's gone. 260/6
96.3 to SK Warne, ah, the fairytale ends. Warne comes way out of his crease and the wristy Read does the rest, whipping off the bails with ease. That's six dismissals again for Read, as at Melbourne. The SCG rises as one for Warne who jogs off waving his bat. Relief is writ large in the form of a huge smile for McGrath, pleased in a small way that it wasn't him to fall at the last to leave Warne stranded. 393/10

TOTAL58 Ov (RR: 2.53, 278 Mins)147
Fall of wickets: 1-5 (Alastair Cook, 2.3 ov), 2-55 (Andrew Strauss, 14.3 ov), 3-64 (Ian Bell, 20.5 ov), 4-98 (Paul Collingwood, 34.6 ov), 5-113 (Andrew Flintoff, 41.3 ov), 6-114 (Kevin Pietersen, 43.3 ov), 7-114 (Monty Panesar, 47.2 ov), 8-122 (Chris Read, 48.6 ov), 9-123 (Sajid Mahmood, 49.6 ov), 10-147 (James Anderson, 57.6 ov)
2.3 to AN Cook, short but that got big on him and was on him earlier than he thought. A very poor shot from Cook, trying to hook and he chipped that one high in the air - like a coach at catching practice, really - and England have lost their first wicket. 5/1
20.5 to IR Bell, back to the wide line but this time Bell throws the kitchen sink at it and the snick can be heard even with the Barmies in full flow. Gilchrist throws the ball to the heavens in celebration and Bell hangs his head in shame, as well he might. 64/3
48.6 to CMW Read, Short of a length, Read pushes at it and edges to Ponting at second slip where he takes a good waist-high catch diving to his left. 122/8
43.3 to KP Pietersen, McGrath strikes! Good length, a fraction outside off stump, Pietersen prods, nicks and a jubilant Gilchrist throws the ball high as a grinning McGrath is mobbed by his team-mates.. 114/6
49.6 to SI Mahmood, McGrath nips one back, it keeps a little low but that makes not a scrap of difference as Mahmood was back in his crease and airborne as well, and his off stump is pegged back via a thin edge.. 123/9
57.6 to JM Anderson, gone this time and McGrath takes the final wicket at his home ground, the SCG. Anderson aimed the easiest of catches up into the midwicket region to bring the innings to an end and leave Australia needing a mere 47 for a deserved 5-0 whitewash. 147/10
14.3 to AJ Strauss, full-length ball, zipping back into Strauss who plays across the line, misses, and Aleem Dar does the rest. It certainly hit him in front, and Hawkeye suggests the ball was clipping the leg stump. 55/2
34.6 to PD Collingwood, edged and gone! What a terrific catch from Hayden at gully, clasping that one very low indeed, after Collingwood edged that going for the drive. 98/4
41.3 to A Flintoff, done him this time - Flintoff drags himself down the pitch, leaning out to defend, and his foot is out of the crease as Warne spins that one from leg to past his off stump. He tries to get his foot back, in vain, and it's on the line. Gilchrist knows it's out - he took the bails off and set off sprinting. Dar knows it too, nodding his head immediately, but the third umpire's called for anyway. Flintoff knows it, and he can barely look at the screen. 113/5
