Chargers vs RR, 30th match at Jaipur, May 09 2008, Indian Premier League
RR won by 8 wickets (with 24 balls remaining)
11.05 pm local time: Rajasthan have bounced back from their defeat in Mumbai by thrashing the Deccan Chargers by eight wickets and four overs to spare at home. Their victory was set up by a disciplined bowling effort - led by Warne and Trivedi, who took 2 for 19 and 1 for 8 respectively - that restricted Deccan to 140 for 7 after Gilchrist had raced to 61.
Yusuf Pathan and Graeme Smith ensured that Rajasthan did not lose early wickets and once they did that the game was up for Deccan. The openers added 109 for the first wicket and Yusuf's 68 off 37 balls ensured that Rajasthan's victory was a comfortable one.
Rajasthan have moved back to the top of the league with 12 points - six wins out of eight games. Deccan have lost six out of eight and their chances of a spot in the final four are slim.
Today's Man of the Match is Yusuf Pathan for his spell of 1 for 19 off two overs and his 37-ball 68. He also wins the award for most sixes in the match. I'm done for the day then, that you for tuning into Cricinfo's coverage of this game, and for all your emails. This is George Binoy signing off and I'll see you tomorrow when the Chennai Super Kings take on the Kings XI Punjab.
