11.35 pm Delhi had smashed Mumbai away, and now they've smashed them at home. A 38-run victory is a huge win. Very little went right for Mumbai after they won the toss and chose to bat. Sehwag, Mahela and KP scored fifties to take Delhi past 200, and when Mumbai lost three wickets for a song, the game was all but done. Rayudu and Karthik revived the chase for a while, but Nadeem's double strike, dismissing Rayudu and Pollard in consecutive balls, finished the game.
The difference between the top team and the second team in the IPL is more two points for the first time this season. Delhi have opened up a lead of three points over Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore, who all have nine points each. And all those teams have played eight games each.
Harbhajan: "We didn't get the result we were looking for. Delhi played fantastic, they batted too well. Credit goes to Delhi, they outplayed us." No kidding. Harbhajan says there was a risk in asking Delhi to bat but he says they like chasing so Mumbai took that chance.
Sehwag: "We discussed in the team meetings tht one of me and Mahela has to stay until the 15th over, today both of us did and we had a very good partnership." Sehwag has praise for the crowd for supporting Delhi, and Tendulkar. Sehwag is also the Man of the Match.
On that note, I'll say good night. Than you for your emails once again. We'll be back tomorrow for the double header. Cheers.
