Sunny safely taps his first ball in ODI cricket down to point
Bangladesh vs Pakistan, 2nd ODI at Dhaka, Dec 03 2011 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Nasir Hossain gives Bangladesh something to shout about in an otherwise sorry chase. Bangladesh weren't playing for a win after they lost four wickets. Their only realistic aim was to bat out 50 overs to see how much they could get. Better than a meek surrender. This may not have been the best advertisement for one-day cricket. Bangladesh needed to save face and draw some positives in defeat, so you cannot fault their resilience. In the end they discovered a gritty player in Nasir Hossain. Hopefully he can bring out some consistent performances.
It could have been different had Pakistan taken their catches. Both Shakib and Nasir were dropped at least once, and the spinners for a change looked worn out. Rare off day for Afridi.
Pakistan take the series 2-0. Stay with us for the presentation.
Mushfiqur: "Special mention to Nasir. He showed us how to bat on this pitch. It;s time to play as a team."
Misbah: "The guys are doing a really good job. It wasn't the best track to bat on, the ball was gripping. Umar Akmal is an impact player. Both Hafeez and Afridi are really good allrounders.Gul's bowling well with the new ball. Really good to have allrounders in the team."
Nasir is the Man of the Match (Mushfiqur translates): "I am over the moon. There were a lot nof good bowlers in their side."
This was interesting because Nasir was trying to answer in English but Ramiz insisted he speak in Bengali!

he bowls it full and on the stumps, Razzak has a free swing and the ball crashes on the leg stump

his vigil ends and it's been some resistance, he upper cuts a short delivery down to third man, if only he stayed right till the last ball
Note: The previous over was bowled by Afridi and not Tanvir. It's a scoring error which is being corrected
slower all, he dabs it down to point and sets off
Mahmudullah makes some room to a full delivery and slashes this one over backward point
defends this one back to the bowler
fortuitous but he gets there! Chips down the track and gets an outside edge that beats the keeper, no slips, down to third man, at least Nasir goes home happy and well done to him!
gets forward and drives to cover
this is giving this crowd something to cheer! Drops it short and he rocks back and slashes it past backward point
tosses it up and he gives the charge and slams it over extra cover! Just over the rope and that takes him to 92
slower ball, he opens the face and dabs it to third man and retains the strike
Freehit The slower ball and he swings over midwicket, miscued but it lands in the middle of nowhere
he oversteps! Nasir goes for a wild swing off a pitched up ball and misses, he has another chance as it will be a freehit
hoicks him across the line, finds midwicket, no single taken
Nasir goes for the hook but the bouncer was too good for him, that's one for the over
dabs it with soft hands and he sets off for a quick single, Gul picks the ball up to the right of the pitch and aims at the bowler's end, direct hit would have had him
bowls it full and he clears his back leg and thuds it down the ground down to long-on
full and wide outside off, he reaches out and gets an outside edge that beats the wicketkeeper
