33.3 to ML Hayden, dragged on! Hayden's feet go nowhere fast as he flashes a booming drive to a fuller, swinging delivery and instead of the deep cover boundary he deposits the ball back onto his stumps in agony. 109/3
81.4 to BJ Haddin, timber! Steyn castles Haddin up with peach of a ball that hits a length, squares him up and swings away from the bat very late, and then cannons into the top of off stump, a real gem of a delivery to unsettle Australia late in the day, and snap a threatening partnership. 237/6
121.5 to MG Johnson, soft dismissal, and Steyn strikes quickly into his reappearance! He pitches full and wide, angles it away, and Johnson gets a thick edge into Smith's waiting palms at first slip. 381/8
29510213.5113615013
56.4 to AB McDonald, and the angle finally works for Ntini, who hits that short-of-length spot and draws the thinnest of edges from a leaden-footed McDonald's bat, who was simply sucked forward. 162/5
2738913.2912512005
13.5 to RT Ponting, well bowled and well held! Ponting goes first ball, pushing at a lovely delivery that pitches short of a length and hits the seam, angling back to clip the inner edge of the bat and Boucher moves to his left to collect the catch ... wow, thats a big blow and don't South Africa know it. 63/2
2065412.70947010
12.6 to SM Katich, edged and gone! Katich pushes at one leaving him outside off stump and, perhaps undone by the extra bounce, gives de Villiers at second slip some catching practice. 62/1
29.268432.861307110
40.6 to MEK Hussey, and hes' got him pushing at one tossed up outside off stump, the ball turns and takes a simple edge to Kallis at first slip and Harris bursts into celebration. 130/4
134.3 to PM Siddle, the fun ends as Harris gets into the action, flighting one on about middle stump, straightening it , and catching Siddle in front after he misses a big heave. 440/9
136.2 to NM Hauritz, and he's gone, skipping down and swiping across the line to midwicket. 445/10
401413.50182000
120.4 to MJ Clarke, oh he's held him! Duminy strikes in his first over, and with a full toss as well, one that Clarke drives back in the air to his left and he pouches it as he falls over. 379/7

BOWLINGOMRWECON0s4s6sWDNB
27.5115952.1114110000
24.3 to ND McKenzie, but thats out, McKenzie rooted to his crease and the ball nips back in off a length and hits him in front of middle and leg, Siddle and the rest go up and Billy Bowden raises the crooked finger, so the bowling change works for Australia and South Africa lose their first wicket. 76/1
114.2 to M Morkel, timber! Siddle strikes to break a tough partnership, pitching full and beating Morkel's push across the line, sneaking between the gap to hit middle stump. 308/6
116.1 to PL Harris, simple decision, Siddle strikes again with a fullish delivery angling back in to catch Harris hopping about his crease, it stays low and ramrod straight and he's a sitting duck. 310/7
118.5 to DW Steyn, and the move works! Another simple tailender's wicket for Siddle, keeping the ball up there and knocking back leg stump as Steyn backs away and misses his forward prod. 316/8
120.5 to MV Boucher, the sound of timber! Siddle gets five at the SCG, his first such effort at this level, once more succeeding with the full and fast delivery, Boucher clips across the line and middle stumps is flattened. 327/9
2347803.3910812023
2866922.461376030
40.3 to JH Kallis, again full and wide and this time the angle pays off because Kallis chases it with an expansive drive and edges straight to Hayden at first slip. 131/2
74.5 to JP Duminy, good delivery to get Duminy! After the short ball comes the fuller delivery, swinging in quite late from outside off stump and raps him on the back leg in line with the sticks. 193/5
2284111.861135001
59.2 to HM Amla, maiden wicket for McDonald, and a good piece of bowling too! Pitches in line and slants back into beat the bat as Amla falls forward, thats a stump-to-stump delivery to undo him. 166/4

50.5 to SM Katich, he's been given! Katich shuffles across and plays the clip, there's but a half appeal from Boucher and slip and Asoka de Silva raises the finger, it struck him Katich in front of about middle and leg stump but there was no reaction from Steyn, all the umpire needed was one person to ask the question and Boucher and Kallis' appeal was more than enough. 181/3
1216605.50437101
1223823.16587000
16.5 to ML Hayden, silly shot brings about his downfall! Morkel pitches it right up and Hayden loses his focus, planting the foot forward and swinging across his pads, succeeding only in dragging the ball back onto his stumps. 62/1
36.4 to RT Ponting, and then he goes and does that! A cramped attempt to dab the ball down to third man but the angle back in draws a loose inside edge back onto the stumps, success for Morkel. 134/2

76.5 to MV Boucher, thats a poor decision from Asoka de Silva, the ball is delivered from wide of the crease, a quick full toss that Boucher cannot pick as he shuffles across towards off stump, it strikes him very high on the pad and would have missed leg stump by some distance. 172/6
83.6 to AB de Villiers, he's chopped on just before tea! Thats a big wicket for Siddle, drawing a cramped attempt at a cut shot, only succeeding in dragging the ball back onto his stumps. 190/7
90.1 to PL Harris, got him now, and Harris' sticky resistance ends, but he doesn't look pleased! The ball pitches on a length and doesn't bounce all that much, Harris hops back to defend and misses out and the ball strikes him in line with the stumps. 202/8
2155322.521036012
1.2 to M Morkel, and he gets his first wicket! Morkel just stands there and rolls the wrists loosely, something of an odd chip shot that is gobbled up by Johnson, tumbling to his left at mid-on. 2/1
30.2 to ND McKenzie, Bollinger strikes! Slips in a full and wide delivery that bounces a little more than McKenzie, reaching out to square-drive, expected and he spoons a catch to Hussey at gully. 68/2
23.274922.101174020
70.2 to JP Duminy, thats plumb! Johnson pitches short of a length and finds a crack, the ball jags back in to hit Duminy on the hop in front of middle stump and Australia celebrate. 166/5
114.2 to GC Smith, bowled him! Johnson! Australia win by 103 runs and the SCG celebrates a fantastic, sapping Test match! Johnson pitches full and beats Smith for pace, the ball cuts in off a crack and the stumps go for a walk. 272/10
1363222.46676000
35.3 to JH Kallis, oh well held, McDonald .. or not? Pitches it up down the stumps, Kallis goes back and starts to turn it to the on side, but the ball takes a leading edge and balloons back up in the air towards the bowler, who flings himself to his right in his follow through and looks like he's taken a stunner ... his team-mates converge but Kallis asks for confirmation, and McDonald admits he's not sure. To the naked eye it looked like he took it, Ponting sticks up a finger even before the umpires are consulted, and after numerous analysis Kallis is adjudged out. Thats a very, very tough call. One angle indicates he took it, the straight view says something else. I'm not convinced he took it.. 91/3
107.4 to DW Steyn, pitches in line and slides on to hit him right in front of leg stump, Bowden has no doubts and Australia celebrate, MacDonald has made up for the drop. 257/9
28104711.671415000
41.1 to HM Amla, Hauritz gets into the action! Amla goes back to play one turning back in but it bounces more than anticipated and he pops it straight off the hips to Katich at short leg. 110/4
