48.4 to HM Amla, bowled him! Ishant's been getting the ball to seam back into Amla and this time he gets beaten by the pace and the movement, Amla tries to defend from his crease but the ball thuds into his back pad before dislodging the leg bail, that was nearly 137 kmh. 160/3
85.2 to MV Boucher, bowled! Ishant pitches the ball outside off and cuts it into the right-hander, it keeps low as well, Boucher tries to defend from his crease and gets beaten by pace and movement, the ball crashes into off and middle stump. 264/8
87.3 to PL Harris, Ishant batters leg stump! It was a full ball which swung into the right-hander, Harris tried to slog it over long on and missed, the ball cannoned into the middle of leg stump and uprooted it, that is the end of the South African innings and that is also stumps on day one. 265/10
49.6 to JH Kallis, bowled again! Kallis moves back and across to defend one that pitched around off and spun into him, he misses and gets hit on the thigh, the ball bounces off the thigh, hits the back of Kallis' gloves and then ricochets back on to the stumps, Kallis looks bewildered but he has to go. 161/4
77.5 to M Morkel, caught! Morkel moves on to the back foot to cut - a shot he has played twice with success - but this time he's beaten by the spin and the high bounce, he gets an edge to Dravid who takes the catch at first slip. 241/7
86.4 to DW Steyn, caught! that's a smart catch by Kaif at first slip, it was the quicker ball on middle and off stump, Steyn tried to reverse sweep and the ball went straight off the edge to first slip, South Africa are nine down. 265/9
17.5 to ND McKenzie, stumped! McKenzie tries to jump out of crease and hit Chawla down the ground, this time he gets beaten by the flight and is no where close to making contact, it didn't turn a lot but enough to beat the bat, Dhoni collects cleanly and demolishes off stump with McKenzie a long way out of his crease, Chawla breaks through in his first over. 61/1
62.2 to AB de Villiers, caught! de Villiers moves back to pull but he's playing the shot against the turn, the ball hits the bottom of the bat and goes high in the air towards midwicket where Ganguly settles under the catch, Chawla once again strikes in the first over of his spell. 199/5
45.4 to GC Smith, caught! Yuvraj comes back and how! He bowls a flat and quicker delivery on middle and off stump, Smith comes forward to defend, the ball bounces a little more and hits Smith on the glove and bobs up towards short leg where Jaffer dives forward to hold a low catch. 152/2
73.2 to AG Prince, lbw! Sehwag goes round the wicket and drifts the ball with the arm into Prince who tries to defend on the back foot, he misses and gets hit on the pad, the ball would have gone on to hit off stump but the impact was perhaps marginally outside off but Doctrove didn't think so and sent Prince on his way, it's been a struggle for Prince on this pitch. 215/6

4.6 to V Sehwag, lbw! South Africa are thrilled! Steyn follows several short balls with a good length one that pitches just outside off and angles into the right-hander, Sehwag hardly moves his feet while trying to defend and gets hit in line with off stump, that ball is heading for middle stump and Asad Rauf raises the finger in a flash. 18/1
82.5 to Harbhajan Singh, that is quick and straight from Steyn, Harbhajan stays on the back foot and moves across his crease, he gets hit flush on the pad, Asad Rauf makes a quick decision and raises the finger. 268/7
86.1 to SC Ganguly, Ganguly tries to play the big shot, he moves his front foot out of the way and tries to loft over the off side, he slices it straight to Amla who is just outside the circle at extra cover, India have lost two in two. 279/9
85.6 to PP Chawla, caught! Chawla tries to pull a short of a length ball, the length isn't that short and the ball is on to him a bit quicker, he connects with the high part of the bat and hits it straight to Smith at mid-on. 279/8
10.4 to W Jaffer, lbw! Morkel fires in a full and fast ball angling into middle, Jaffer should have been playing straight but he tried to hit across the line while staying in his crease, he gets hit low on the pad in front of middle and falls over a little, Asad Rauf raises the finger after some thought, Morkel strikes in his first over. 35/2
41.1 to R Dravid, caught! That's a vicious ball and Dravid is hurt as well, a good length ball pitches outside off stump and rears up sharply at Dravid who comes half forward and tries to defend, the ball angles into the right-hander and the bounce is so steep that the ball smashes into Dravid's glove and lobs up to de Villiers at gully, Dravid is in pain as he walks off the ground. 113/3
43.5 to VVS Laxman, bowled him! what a delivery from Morkel, it was on a good length and it swung into Laxman who moved forward and tried to play the ball on the leg side, the ball straightened off the pitch after swinging into the right-hander and hits the top of off stump, brilliant stuff and South Africa have picked up a massive wicket. 123/4
60.6 to Yuvraj Singh, caught! de Villiers takes it in the deep! Yuvraj gets down on one knee and tries to sweep from off stump, he plays a short arm sweep and gets a top edge in front of square leg, de Villiers moves to his left in the deep and and holds on to a flat catch while he's on the run. 188/5
76.1 to MS Dhoni, stumped! Dhoni charges down the track and has a wild heave at the ball, Harris bowls a flat ball outside off stump, it kept a little low but Dhoni was never going to make contact, Boucher collects cleanly and breaks the stumps with Dhoni well short. 248/6
99.4 to S Sreesanth, caught! Sreesanth comes forward to drive a flighted delivery and plays it in the air towards Prince at short cover who takes a simple catch towards his right, that's the end of the innings. 325/10

11.3 to ND McKenzie, this time Asad Rauf does agree! Sreesanth pitches the ball on a good length and angles it into the right-hander, McKenzie moves across his stumps and tries to pull, the length is short enough to pull but the ball doesn't bounce, he gets hit on the top of the pad, his front foot was slightly off the ground as well so it may have been rather high but Rauf raises the finger, on this pitch it may have clipped the top of the stumps because the bounce on such deliveries has died, that is Sreesanth's 50th wicket in Tests. 26/1
29.1 to JH Kallis, he strikes with his first ball! Sehwag bowled the quicker delivery outside off stump, Kallis went back and across to play it, the ball spun sharply and bounced a lot into the right-hander, Kallis tried fending it down but edged it on to his pad towards Jaffer at short leg. 65/3
