angled in, gets forward, off the pad just wide of slip, they take the run, Richards fires it back, direct hit, TV called, and it is out
Trinidad & T vs Barbados, 14th Match at Coolidge, Jul 28 2006 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Rain comes down again, covers on, players off, commentators going to have a drink
And that will not be a rum coctail
And now it is pouring down, the hardest it has been all day
The rain is still falling now at 17:35
Rain still coming down and prospects look grim
Tomorrow has been set asside as a reserve day, so in the case of a match not going the full 5 overs each, a new match will be started tomorrow
Still no let up in the rain and the first match, between Trinidad & Tabogo and Barbados looks set to be played tomorrow
18:50 and the rain is still coming down
News is that both matches have been called off for tonight and both will be replayed tomorrow
Until then, we thank you for your patience and hopefully meet again at 15:00 local tomorrow.
outside off, got him, no he has not, driving he got the edhe, 1st slip jumps, gets a hand to it, but somehow, pushes it up and it goes all the way, an edge, a drop and a six from the slip
beauty, angled in, gets it leaving him, 3 slips now, beaten
on the back foot, ball stays down, no way of getting the bat to that, just misses the off stump
2 slips in, but bowls the short one, flat bats the pull to wide long-off
chopped towards wide 3rd man
gets one online coming back at the left hander, into the pads, and almost right in front, no real doubt there
short, gets on top of the hook to fine leg
outside off, drives almost square on the off, gathered by the deep gully/backward point
leg side
leg side, drags the ball to fine leg on the hook
leg side wide. started on leg, angled away further
on line, gets up from short of length, taken high on the thigh pad, loops to point
starts outside off, chops to the gully on the ring
Match State: Delay - Rain
Welcome to the Stanford 2020 Tournament where the first game of the evening between Trinidad & Tobago and Barbados has been delayed by rain
Rain has been falling in short bursts all day in Antigua and there does not look to be any change in the next few hours
Only 50 minutes is required to complete a match (5 overs each) so at the worts we should get a match in, provided the short showers are not too heavy
It takes a while here for the covers to come off and excessive water cleared away
The ground does however drain very well
We will keep you informed
Once again the rain has started to fall fairly heavily and now there are puddles appearing around the edges of the covers
There has been a break in the rain, 15:30 local time now, and the ground staff are making moves to start drying up.
The only news we do have for you is that they teams are the same as in their previous matches
The covers are still on at 16:05, even though the rain has temporarly stopped. Teams are out warming up again, and the ground staff are milling around waiting for a chance to get the covers off
The puddles have drained very well and they have two small soppers drying up where they can
Seems like we are going to have some sunshine after all, covers are coming off at 16:30 local
Toss has just been done with Barbados winnings and fielding
The match will start at 17:00 local, no overs will be lost
And just as we are about to start, the rain starts again and the covers are on
Dont get too excited but the covers are coming off again
Pedro Collins will eventually start the match for us, bowling to William Perkins
