9.56pm Presentation

Thunder captain Rachael Haynes: "It's an incredible feeling. It's an amazing effort from everyone at the club. I want to thank the Melbourne Stars. You've had a dominant tournament and it didn't go your way tonight but congratulations. I'd like to thank all the international players and staff who went through quarantine to get the tournament up and running. Thank you very much."

Thunder coach Trevor Griffin: "They're a fantastic bunch. I'm really fortunate to come over here and work with them. It was an honour and a pleasure. It's great to have a young group and they've done so well to switch off and switch on from cricket in the hub. They've been superb."

Stars captain Meg Lanning: "It's been a challenging season and a lot of fun. Congratulations to Rach (Haynes) and the Thunder team, you thoroughly deserve your win."

Player of the Final Shabnim Ismail: "I don't think words can describe how I feel. It was a great team effort."

Sydney Thunder win by 7 wickets and claim their second WBBL title!

It was a thoroughly professional performance from the Thunder. Set up by some superb new-ball bowling from Ismail and Johnson and then finished off by Trenaman, Knight and Haynes. The Stars saved their worst performance of the year for the final and they will be bitterly disappointed. Shabnim Ismail is named Player of the Final for her 2 for 12 with 16 dots.

The Thunder team get to celebrate infront of their home fans as WBBL06 champions.
